What’s included and what’s excluded on a vintrace 702

It is useful to know what is and isn’t covered by a 702, either because the TTB doesn’t consider a product as reportable or because vintrace doesn’t support certain product classes.

SECTION A – BULK WINES

702 - Part I - Section A

Only Bulk Wines that have been declared (have a tax class and under bond), sparkling wines (both bottles fermented [pre-tirage] and bottles produced [in tirage or disgorged prior to bottling], artificially carbonated wines (CO2 added), and hard cider or non-grape [fruit] wines are compiled and included here. All wines, ciders, etc., are reported by vintrace only if you have set-up their specific tax class AND declared them.

SECTION B – BOTTLED WINES

702 - Part I - Section B

All products declared and bottled during the reporting period are compiled and included here. Classifications are the same as bulk wines and gallons used for bottling will move from Section A to Section B.

PART III – SUMMARY OF DISTILLED SPIRITS (Proof Gallons)

702 - Part III

As of version 5.2.4, vintrace now fully supports the use of distilled spirits, including the calculation of the proof gallons required on the TTB report:

How to handle spirits in VINx2

PART IV – SUMMARY OF MATERIALS RECEIVED AND USED

702 - Part IV

Generally, the only time that vintrace will report anything in this section is for the reporting period in which one of the categories had an intake. If nothing was received, this section will be blank.

As of version 5.2.4,  vintrace now fully supports juice and concentrate:

Support for juice and concentrate on the TTB report

If you are a cider house or produce wine from a fruit other than grapes, your intake/usage will be reported in columns E through G.

Columns H and I are reserved for sugar in either granular or liquid form.

As of version 5.2.4,  vintrace now fully supports sugar (dry and liquid):
